About Sam

Although she has been singing her whole life, in a sense, Sam is just beginning her professional musical journey.  As far back as she can remember, if someone asked her to sing, she would belt it out on the spot, anywhere and everywhere — at school, parties, even at the grocery store.  When she was not singing, she was dancing.  She was born an entertainer, and along with voice coaching, she has trained in ballet, pointe, modern, tap, jazz, and contemporary.  Dance generated the self-confidence that gave her the energy and passion to view singing as a way to express her feelings and emotions with words as well as movement.

Committed to producing fun, wholesome pop music, Sam writes not only from personal experience, but also in positive messages to young girls.  Sam lost her father near her nineteenth birthday, after he courageously battled cancer for three years.  She uses music to reach others in an ambiance of light, positivity, and hopefully, the happy endings hiding in the ups and downs of life.  She feels blessed that she has the opportunity to write songs that are sunny, clean, and carefree; songs that lift her spirits as well as others.  The artists she idolized as a child came mostly from the classic films she loved to frequently “study.”  Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, and Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.  These women and the timeless sounds their voices possess still greatly impact Sam, and this is evident in her singing style.

Sam grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida, often traveling to Orlando for voice lessons and recording sessions.  She currently resides in Gainesville, Florida, and is a full-time student.
